SHOUT 09! A Genesis Moment!

Taking a break from retelling good ol oz trip... I felt immense urge and desire to jot down these life-changing words of wisdom, brought by powerful messengers of God in SHOUT conference 2009!

In 1 word, SHOUT conference was just... AWESOME!!!!!

The praise and worship was off the hook, the performances were beautiful, the preaching was powerful!

Many of us were messed up badly by the word of the Lord, but definitely in a radical but good way! Hahaha...

Ps Russell Evans from Planetshakers Australia started off with a powerful message, leaving us holding tightly to our seats, hearts thumping as the words of God shot right into our weak hearts...

His main message was, 'Who's IMAGE are we pursuing?'

IMAGE can be broken down into 'IM' 'AGE-ing'. Therefore, Our image is what we become as we age.

Hence, it is important for us to fill our 'image folder' with Kingdom image. Stop following the worldly cultures, but create Godly cultures for people to follow and be blessed.

Besides that, we learned about Worship, Walking with God, Running to Judah etc. My favourite preacher of all, would have to be Reggie Dabbs. He is the Man! He is so annointed, you just want to have even a tiny touch of what he has...... He's gifted, he's funny, he's down to earth, and most importantly, he used his talents for the purposes of God! One would not know how inspiring he is until one listens to him......... Seriously...

5 things he mentioned in one of his sermon..

1. Your existence precedes your conceptions.
2. Your future precedes your birth.
3. Your destiny precedes your knowing.
4. Your purpose precedes your shame.
5. Your salvation precedes your sins.

Don't let Christ's death be in vain, because of you. (Dabbs, 2009)

And as apostle Paul said, " I considered my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me - the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace." (Acts 20:24); I hope I would be able to persevere through trials in life, and glorify the name of the Lord till the end~

Happy Easter to all! Rejoice, for our Lord has risen!
